Hot Stone Massage

hot_stone_kelowna[dropcap cap="H"]ot stone massage combines the benefits of hydrotherapy and thermotherapy (use of heat applications) with massage therapy to create a deeply relaxing and healing treatment.[/dropcap]

This wonderful treatment has its roots dating as far back as the ancient world. Cultures for centuries have used this method of treatment to promote wellness and healing.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Improves circulation
  • Alleviates stress
  • Releases Toxins from the body
  • Improves muscle tone
  • Restores balance and harmony to the body

This deeply relaxing treatment can also help with insomnia, depression and anxiety.

The stones used are called basalt stones, which have over time become naturally smooth and polished by water. They have a high content of iron, which allows for containment of heat.

During the treatment, the basalt stones are heated and placed over specific points on the body. The rest of the body is then massaged using hot stones. As the stones cool they are replaced with hot ones. This delightful treatment will leave you warm and relaxed from the inside out.
